Choosing the right school for a child is one of the most important decisions a parent can make, and choosing a residential school comes with even greater responsibility. For us, sending our son, Aayush Bhowmick, to Delhi Public School, Durgapur in Class 5 has been a decision that has given us immense confidence and reassurance.

The hostel experience has also been an important part of his journey. We have had a very good experience with DPS Durgapur. Our elder son, Aaryan Ratan Soren, studied here for four years and did very well, both in academics and sports. So, when it was time to choose a school for our younger son, Abhigyan Soren, we were happy to admit him in Class 8 this year.

As parents, we are quite satisfied with the school overall. We are happy with the teachers, facilities and infrastructure, and the overall environment provided to the children.

Since Abhigyan is staying in the hostel, we are also happy with the hostel facilities, food, care and overall arrangements. We feel that the children get a good balance of academics, sports and other activities.

Our decision to admit Abhigyan here was largely because of our earlier experience with Aaryan. We already knew the school and had confidence in the environment, teachers and facilities. We are happy to continue our association with DPS Durgapur.

We admitted our son, Arpan Majee, to Delhi Public School, Durgapur in 2023 in Class 7. Before joining DPS, he was studying in an ICSE school in Adra, our hometown. Shifting from ICSE to CBSE was a big decision for us, but after hearing about DPS, we decided to visit the school and hostel, which is about two and a half hours from our hometown.

The beautiful campus, excellent academic facilities, home-like atmosphere and nutritious food gave us confidence that Arpan would be happy, comfortable and well cared for here.

Today, we are very happy with our decision. Arpan has adapted very well to the CBSE curriculum and hostel life. He has made good friends both at school and in the hostel, and we have seen him become more confident, independent and responsible.

We have also been very impressed to learn about the scholarship opportunities offered by the school for students who excel in their Board examinations. It has given Arpan an additional motivation to work hard, achieve good marks and make the most of the opportunities provided by the school.

As parents, our biggest happiness is seeing our son doing well, enjoying school life and feeling at home away from home. Our association with Delhi Public School, Durgapur has been a very special and memorable journey for our family. My elder son, Tanmay, studied at DPS Durgapur from Classes IX to XII and stayed in the school hostel. Later, based on our wonderful experience with the school, we also decided to place our younger son, Harsh, in the same institution and hostel.

As parents, sending a child away from home and putting him in a hostel is never an easy decision. We have been associated with Delhi Public School, Durgapur since its very beginning. Our son, Shreyansh Gupta, joined the school in UKG in 2011 and completed his entire schooling here, from UKG to Class 12.

He secured 96.7% in his Class 10 Board examinations and 87.8% in Class 12. He is currently pursuing a BS with majors in Finance and Accounting at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University, USA. Seeing his journey from a young student at DPS to studying at a reputed university in the USA has been a matter of immense pride for us.

Our younger daughter, Harshita Gupta, has also been studying at DPS Durgapur since 2016. After Shreyansh went abroad, we wanted to move to Bokaro with my husband due to his work commitments. Therefore, when Harshita entered Class 6 in 2024, we decided to opt for the school hostel for her.

Since then, we have been extremely happy with our decision. The hostel has provided Harshita with a safe, caring, disciplined and homely environment, giving us great peace of mind as parents. The support and care extended by the teachers and hostel staff have made her transition to hostel life very comfortable.

Having experienced DPS Durgapur with both our children over the years, we can confidently say that the school has contributed immensely to their academic growth, confidence and overall development. My daughter, Divisha, has been a student of Delhi Public School, Durgapur since 2013 and successfully completed her Class 12 in 2025. Having seen her journey at DPS over the years, we have always had great faith and confidence in the school.

My son, Khushant, has also been a student of DPS since 2018. However, due to my work commitments and family situation, I had to travel frequently, making it difficult for us to manage his daily routine. We received very positive feedback about the hostel facilities from other DPS parents, and after careful consideration, we decided to enrol Khushant in the hostel in Class 5 from April 2025.

It has now been around one and a half years, and we are extremely happy with our decision. There has not been a single day when Khushant has called us with any complaint or problem regarding anything at the hostel. I am from Tripura and first met the Admissions Team of Delhi Public School, Durgapur at an educational fair. I have been associated with the school since 2019, when I admitted my daughter to Class XI.
