79th Independence Day

Delhi Public School Durgapur commemorated the 79th Independence Day with a deep sense of national respect. Colonel (Dr) Uma Patnaik and Brigadier (Dr) S.K. Patnaik, the Chief Guests did the honours of unfurling the National Flag, which was followed by the National Anthem.

The cultural programme featured a Bengali mime on water conservation, musical performance by the choir and an instrumental performance. The program also included an inspiring skit on Dr. G.Madhavi Lata, the key figure behind the construction of the Chenab Bridge- the highest single arch bridge ,and also a Hindi play on Operation Sindoor highlighting the firm stand by our Nation against terrorism, a patriotic dance medley  With over 140 students showcasing their commitment to the nation, the programme reflected the true spirit of Nationalism.

Principal Umesh Ch. Jaiswal encouraged students to uphold the values of discipline, compassion and service.

 The event concluded with a heartfelt rendition of the National Anthem, inspiring renewed dedication towards the country.
