“Igniting Aspirations – Enabling Futures”: Exploring New-Age Education Pathways
Delhi Public School, Durgapur, in collaboration with Amity University, organised the seminar “Igniting Aspirations – Enabling Futures” for students of Classes XI and XII. The session was conducted by Mr. Chandrajit Mitra and Dr. Coral, who engaged students in an interactive discussion on higher education opportunities and emerging career pathways.
The speakers introduced students to flexible learning opportunities and distance education programmes, highlighting how such pathways can provide academic rigour while enabling learners to study at their own pace. A key focus was the growing relevance of skill-based and new-age programmes aligned with the changing demands of the professional world.
Students were introduced to programmes in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Digital Marketing, Business Analytics, Finance, Entrepreneurship, and Media & Communication. The session emphasised the increasing importance of practical skills, industry exposure and continuous learning alongside academic qualifications.
Through real-life examples and an engaging Q&A, students explored admissions, career prospects and online learning, while reflecting on how their interests, strengths and long-term goals could guide their educational choices.
