Learning Beyond the Classroom: Exploring the World Through Experience
Delhi Public School (DPS) Durgapur is committed to enriching learning through its Learning Beyond the Classroom initiative, providing students with meaningful opportunities to explore higher education, science, technology and industry beyond the confines of the classroom.
As part of this initiative, Class X students visited the prestigious Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM Calcutta), where they explored the campus and gained insights into higher education, campus life and career opportunities.
A visit to Haldia Energy Limited offered students firsthand insights into power generation and industrial operations, helping them connect classroom learning with real-world applications.
Meanwhile, Class XI Science students visited the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Kolkata, where they explored the Biotechnology, Physics and Computer Laboratories, as well as the Astronomical Observatory. The visit helped them appreciate the practical applications of scientific concepts and the role of innovation in advancing knowledge.
