Durga Puja Special Assembly
Delhi Public School, Durgapur celebrated Durga Puja with a grand assembly on October 5, 2024. Special guests from Vivekananda Bhav Samaj, an old age home, were warmly welcomed. The event began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Principal Sri Umesh Chand Jaiswal and the Chief Guest, followed by a welcome song. The Principal highlighted the cultural significance of Durga Puja in his speech. Students presented a dance drama depicting the story of Mahalaya and Ma Durga’s victory over Mahisasur, followed by vibrant dance performances. The assembly concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by the Deputy Head Girl, Rashi Chatterjee.
